Don’t Break What Works Campaign Issues Statement Following Senate Judiciary Subcommittee Hearing

Washington, D.C. 3/7/2023 – CCIA’s “Don’t Break What Works” campaign released the following statement following today’s hearing of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Competition Policy, Antitrust, and Consumer Rights:

“The biggest takeaway from today’s hearing is how little lawmakers have actually tried to address the concerns that prevented these bills from passing last year. While bipartisan senators were talking about the threat the Chinese Government poses on one side of the Capitol, this hearing failed to account for the significant national and cybersecurity issues that experts have raised time and time again about bills like the American Innovation and Choice Online Act,” said Chandler Smith Costello, a spokeswoman for the Don’t Break What Works campaign.
