Don’t Break What Works Campaign Releases Statement Following the Result of the U.S. v. Google Remedy Trial

Washington, D.C. (09/02/2025) – The Don’t Break What Works campaign released the following statement regarding the court’s ruling in the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) antitrust case against Google Search:

“Today’s decision recognizes both the competitive nature of the online search marketplace and the rapid growth of the dynamic generative AI ecosystem. We appreciate the court making clear that consumers, not competitors, should come first,” said Don’t Break What Works spokesman Matt Schuck

“While we remain concerned about certain remedies that risk cutting against consumers’ interests, the court rightly rejected the DOJ’s most extreme remedies, avoiding measures that would have broken products like Chrome and Android, leaving consumers worse off and undermining services they rely on every day,” he continued

The Don’t Break What Works campaign has championed the products and services that benefit American consumers and pushed back on harmful policies designed to target a few American companies, to the detriment of American consumers.
