Don’t Break What Works Campaign Releases Statement Regarding FTC v. Amazon

Washington, D.C. (09/29/2025) – The Don’t Break What Works campaign released the following statement regarding the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) lawsuit against Amazon:

“The FTC’s decision to target Amazon Prime sets a troubling precedent for consumers and businesses of all sizes. The FTC’s approach to target one company and its executives for practices common across the industry, along with its lack of clarity or guidance on compliance, still leaves businesses in the dark. Business certainty is foundational for securing thriving, competitive markets,” said Jim Mantyh, a spokesperson for the Don’t Break What Works campaign

The Don’t Break What Works campaign has championed the products and services that benefit American consumers and pushed back on harmful policies designed to target a few American companies, to the detriment of American consumers.
